About ME

While I love pink and green, it just isn’t for me. Give me subtle, creamy tones and shades of warm gray. Pops of sun kissed red bricks or evergreen. I love the outdoors and love to see it surround me inside my home too. We seek to create and make truly unique spaces for all of our clients, including choosing paint colors, wall coverings, draperies, furniture and all objets d'art. Gardens too. Clifton Lyons Design expertise and passion for art and design is fueled by years spent as an early pioneer in the web industry, guest lecturer, professor of fine art and design, interior decorator for the best CT has to offer, and by a childhood spent in an environment where creative talent was nurtured and encouraged by family and friends.

Education:

BFA in Graphic Design from Boston University on a full scholarship. A great school and experience, located in my second favorite city in the Northeast.

Graduate Certificate in Design from Yale University. I studied design in Brissago, SWI on Lago Maggiore with Paul Rand and Armin Hofman. Changed my life.

MFA in Painting from WCSU (hopefully the last time I will reinvent myself.) I love color & texture. What a treat to have two solid years at an “advanced” age to paint.
